God smiles, the Devil’s afraid, and Our faith is strengthened when we pray together. Jesus said, “My house will be called a house of prayer.”
Passionate Worship
Our voices are free to praise, Our hands are free to raise, and our hearts are free to be captivated by an Awesome God.
Freely Giving
We believe it is more blessed to give than to receive. We give to the church because we believe it is the hope of the world. We help others because we care.
Laughter
Living for Jesus is fun. We take serving Jesus seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. “A joyful heart is good medicine” -Proverbs 17:22
People are Important
People are our #1 priority. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone is important to God.
Families
Keeping a family healthy can sometimes be a daunting task. Therefore we are champions for families, helping anyway we can.
Authenticity
We do not put on our ‘church mask’ and pretend to be people we are not. We are Real People, exercising Real Faith, serving a Real God. Perfect people not allowed.
Hand Up Not Beat Down
We are not judgemental gossips. We are ambassadors for Jesus offering people a hand up out of their mess, not a beat down because they are in a mess.
Excellence
We will do everything with an attitude of excellence as an act of worship to God, as an act of service to others, and because it is what mature Christians do.
What we believe
Simply put, we believe in Jesus and we believe the Bible.
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and it is Truth.

Our Team
We can acheive far more working together than we can on our own. At Harvest we take a team approach to ministry. The Bible says God has created all of us with our own gifts and talents so that we compliment each other working together to do the kingdom work of Christ.
Pastor Jesse Wombles
Lead Pastor
Pastor Jesse is an Ordained Minister with the Church of God and serves as Lead Pastor at the Harvest Church in Newport, NC. He also serves as a Community Service Chaplin with the Church of God. Fueled by a passion to see lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Jesse dedicates himself to a life of prayer, helping others, and preparation in the Word.
